This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Will a 8920G laptop be able to run Windows 7? It's not listed on the eligibility list.

    That Acer eligibility list is only models that qualify for the free Windows 7 upgrade from Acer themselves.
    Anything that can run Windows Vista can run Windows 7 better - just back up, burn the recovery DVDs, and you'll be fine.
