    I've got a Acer Aspire 8920G-934G64BN with a GForce 9650M GS.

The temperature from the GPU goes up to 96C°/206F° while playing games. (Resolution and Details does no difference and it happens with all Games i played so far)
I've discovered, that the cpu steps up and down to 100% and 50% performance while the GPU is that hot.

The CPU temperture is only about 50C°/122F°

Does anyone have/had the same problem? Is there a solution available ?

Welcome to the Acer forums Macros

Always use a cooling pad underneath the lappie when playing games.

In your case though, sounds like the GPU is not getting rid of heat fast enough due to maybe a bad bond between the GPU chip and heat pipe?

With Acer, it's normally a common heatpipe and fan that cools both CPU and GPU.

And your CPU is running cool.

    Just thinking here.....
