I recently purchased a 8920 with a blu ray player and a 9500m gs graphics card. I can purchase a 9650m gs card made for this exact system. My question is will I see a noticable improvement in blu ray picture quality with a 9650m gs over a 9500m gs or is that more for gaming? I do not fully understand how graphics cards operate as far as dvd playback quality etc. Thanks in advance.

No, it will provide improvements in gaming. But for movie watching, it wont make any difference.
