I have an 8930 (I know its getting on now) and the battery needs replacing as it only lasts about 40 mins or less.

I have tried 2 different non-oem replacements and find that although the batteries are seen by the laptop, and any available charge was used up, when it come to recharging they wont.

The recharge icon is stationary and the dialogue states '6% available (plugged in, charging), but stays like that forever (well 2 days before I took it out).

I see a number of peopel have had this problem (with new oem batteries too).

So has anyone with an 8930 replaced a battery successfully, or more importantly, had this problem and resolved it.

Hopefully this thread will not go unanswered, as I am at the end of the road with options now.

    Thanks.
