I am the proud owner of an Acer Aspire 8930G. It came with Vista but upgraded it to Windows 7 as it came free.

5.1 sound was working fine prior, but now it is only stereo. I have deleted the drivers for the sound card, and video card an installed the new ones freshly downloaded from the Acer website, no joy!

I really like Windows 7 but now sound is crap! If I can't fix it I am going back to Vista, can anyone help?

    :(

Have you had to download it? Have you got a link to the specific driver?

Realtek uses universal driver just download and install their HiDef Driver will do.
This site has a faster download mirror Realtek servers sucks.
