Just Like the title says, the media console controls that allow me to control some of the functions of the Acer Arcade video or DVD have stopped working. I used to be able to push the button on the top of the touchpad and the ba display would light up and I'd be able to control the video or DVD by using the touch controls and the volume wheel. I don't have a clue as to why this has stopped working. I thought maybe the Launch Manager driver, but when I went to the Acer site and updated the driver nothing worked. You are able to see the volume controls on the screen but that's it.

Try powering down, removing the battery, holding the power button down for 30 seconds, reinsert the battery, fire it up and see if that cures it. Hope this helps

What even controls this thing? The Media Console. I have tried what you suggested every which way. Not to mention uninstall and reinstalled the Launch Manager driver a few different times plus ran it in Compatability Mode for Vista according to some other Googled solutions. Although all my Launch Manager Hot Keys work I don't have a launch manager icon or shortcut anywhere. This has to be the hardest problem I've not been able to solve with my machine, which is the Acer 8943g x64/ Win 7 Home Prem/ Corei5 processor/ 8GB RAM/ ATI Mobility Radeon 5650/. I just don't get this Cinedash Media Console. My Volume Meter shows but I can't get the light pad under the plastic touchpad to light up. The Acer Arcade works properly, so I'm just not sure how to get this back up and running. A lot of folks like yourself banked on the taking the battery out after it was powered down, holding down the power button for 10 - 30 seconds, re installing the battery and then booting. Didn't work for me.
8943g media console controls quit working
