I just signed up to ask for opinions... there isnt a lot of information about the new Aspire 9110 series around. Anyways... I was very suprised to find the 9110 in Thailand. So I'm thinking of getting probably either one of these. My problem is that I'm a multimedia guy and a gamer + I'll need this laptop for college. Here's the specs:

    9113WLMi:

Intel ® Centrino ® Duo Mobile Technology - Intel ® Core ® Duo Processor T2400
    (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 667MHz FSB)
    - Intel ® 945PM Express Chipset
    - Integrated Intel ® Pro/Wireless 3945BG
Microsoft ® Windows ® XP Professional
    Integrated Bluetooth™
    1024MB DDR2-533 (Max 4GB)
    120GB SATA HDD , Weight 2.98kg.
    Slot-load DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive, 5-in-1 card reader
    56K Fax/Modem, 10/100/1000Mbps LAN
    15.4" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite™ TFT LCD(1280 x 800 pixel)/S-Video
    NVIDIA ® GeForce ® Go 7600 with 256 MB
Acer OrbiCam integrated 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera
Digital/Analog TV tuner (NTSC/PAL/SECAM)/ TV Out
    Acer 3DSonic (1.5 W ) stereo speakers/Acer BasSonic subwoofer
Li-Ion Battery (Avg. 2.5 hrs. battery life)
    ExpressCard™/34 slot, DVI-D port

... you guys know what the specs are. lol.

Anyways since I would watch tons of movies... I would rather have a CrystalBrite screen. But the 8204 performance in games are better. But by how much?

Can someone tell me while watching movies on the 8204.. Is it good enough to watch movies for like 2 hours in a row? Or is the CrystalBrite screens better and sharper to watch movies on?

Or.. do you think I should wait for a laptop with a Merom chip (which isnt much of a gain from Core Duo) and a X1700. But there isnt any specs or news on the X1700 =(...

So much to think about... sigh.

    Go for 9110

I think the screen is better if you want to watch movie.
Gaming performance wise it will be equal.

sorry this is canadain website, but try look at this acer, i don't know where to get them in the USA...

it will out preform the systems that your suggested. it is also the cheapest blueray commputer that i have found. it also is a modular blu ray drive/ if HD DVD ends up winning the market you could just swap the disk drive.
i am not sure what the screen is like...

it is faily expensive(2600 US dollars) if you are look for the 'best' and 'newest' thing there it is :) hope the helps

Haha. The one problem is.. I'm still considering the HP DV2000 which looks superb. My concern is how is Acer's service?
