    Hi

Firstly, I would like to say I wish I had found this site long before this....it rocks and I will be a regular visitor although I don't know how helpful I will be.

The reason I sought out a site like this, like most people I imagine, is I have a problem.

My 9300 just stopped working and the power supply blinks when plugged in to the laptop but is constant when not connected to the laptop. I'm thinking it's not the power supply because of this.

I have trier removing the battery, holding in the power for 30 seconds, powering up with the battery out etc. I'm don't think it is the battery either

I have also searched the forum but can't find anything that is similar. I did see a page on the net that said it may be a short on the motherboard but it was talking about dells.

I don't want to start throwing money at it till I am sure where the problem lies, so can anyone help please.

Extra info....It is sitting beside my bed and last night every 10 seconds it made 4 light clicking sounds that lasted in total about 1 second.

sounds like a bad dc pin. it is probably loose and shorting which is why the ac adapter blinks

Yeah bad dc sounds about right. Have you tried powering on with battery only?

Thanks for the replies guys, yes it's just dead with the battery in battery out or whatever just doesn't want to do anything, got no warning either was working away when it just cut out.

It may have been dropped a couple of weeks ago though by my son.

    Hi,

    I have also a 9303.

I remember while trying to remove the RAM for upgrading I have had a similar problem. This was due to the fact that the RAM module was not fixed correctly.

So my advice would be to try removing the RAM module (s) and refixed it.

I hope that this will help you.

I vote that too ... The battery should get charging , no matter what .
