Have an Aspire 9301 running Vista. Occasionally get the "video driver stopped responding" message when booting... seems a common problem, which can then go away for weeks, months even.
Question, is there a better driver available for the GEFORCE GO6100. Acer list the same one on their site 7.15.10.9755 which is dated back to 2006 I think. Nvidia don't list any, just warnings to use the manufacturers own which are tweaked to support special functions, hot keys etc.
I find that uninstalling it totally and removing the driver, letting windows install it's own (which is no good for movie files... no accelerator or something... they just freeze) and then reinstalling from a file the original and the "not reponding" message goes away... again, but for how long.
    thanks
