    Hi all,
I have acer aspire 7720g laptop. Originally came with nvidia 9300m g 256mb video card. This card is very weak. T

Now I bought a card from ebay
Nvidia 9600m GT 1GB DDR2. This card was taken out from a ASUS laptop. The card even has ASUS printed on it.

After I put that on my laptop, for some reason, nothing comes on screen. I hear the windows 7 startup sound. I can tell the windows boot and everything, but no display on screen. Then I replaced it with my previous working card and everything back to normal.

Any idea why is this happening? Do I need to flash the vbios from ASUS to Acer?
If so how, i mean i dont get any display. Or is it that the card is bad.

Any ideas would be great. Thank you.

I could be wrong, but isn't ASUS the company who flipped their mxm cards? You might have to get another one that is not pulled from an ASUS.

*Edit* I was not aware that they actually flipped the whole card around. But I guess your problem has to do with a bios or something else if the card is 'normal'.
