Hey guys! I just recently purchased the aspire 6920g which has the 9500m gs gpu, and I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading to the 9600m GT gpu? how much increase to performance would I see?

The upgrade may not even be possible - BIOS compatibility and such need to be in place first.
Secondly, it depends on how cheap you can get an Acer-made 9600M GT MXM card.

Not going to be anywhere near worth it, if possible.

Yes - if you're bent on getting a 9600M GT, see if you can return the 6920G and sit tight until the 6935G launches in your area.

15-20% better in benchmarks. Meh. The 3650 or 3670 would be a nicer option IMO.

ALTHOUGH I did a little bit of looking around, and if it's compatible, the 9650M GT that's debuting in Zepto notebooks soon is the official strongest graphics card in the MXM-II form factor.
It's on the 55 nm process, and is clocked 10% faster than the 9600M GT, and is estimated at 5000 3DMarks for the DDR2 version and around 6000 for the GDDR3 version.
I AM OFFICIALLY KEEPING MY EYES PEELED. ^_^

Easy hint to determine what MXM type it is - MXM-II is limited to 25 W of TDP.
