I'm thinking of buying a laptop. Right now, I'm looking at two acer laptops, both at around the same price range ($600 CAD - I can't find any other laptops with a dedicated videocard at anything under $800). I'd like to know which of these two laptops is better, also, I'd like to know if these computers should be able to handle photoshop and basic video/audio editing. Oh yes, my last question is how well will Oblivion run on either laptop (if at all) since it's pretty much the only game I'm going to be playing. Thanks for your time!!!

While both of those laptops have dedicated 3D graphic chips, neither of them is very beefy. You'll probably have to turn the resolution or settings way way down to get Oblivion to run at a decent frame rate. It will run, though.

Is there anything else at the $600 price range that is better?

IMO i love the 5720's motherboard.... and i try to stick to INTEL CPUs just due to thier market share... and they seem easier to upgrade...

that 5720 can handle ANY SOCKET P CPU up to the T9500 or X9000!
    so it is very upgradable!!
