I am 90% sure that I want an Acer Travelmate 8204Wmli, but I can't find it ANYWHERE, except on online sites such as newegg.com and tigerdirect.com. I was wondering where everyone got theirs? Also, even if you did buy it off a non-online source, I don't have many retailers around me carrying it, so I have to order online. Now I don't like the idea of that because none of the online stores have good return policies if something is wrong with my laptop, and the whole merchant warranty process would be a pain. Any suggestions on sites that have good policies and are trust worthy.

    Thanks,
    Kulupa

Newegg and TigerDirect are pretty trustworthy. I've bought from them before, and the only pain is that they charge restocking fees on returned items. Amazon is also really good with great prices.

For some reason, I don't think any retailers carry it :(. I couldn't find a single one here in NY.

Called Acer, after half-hour hold time and tranferring to three different people, the guy says Acer has no idea where its products are sold, but he thinks the 8204 is sold exclusively at NewEgg and TigerDirect .

Well he'd be completely wrong... *sigh* problem with people on the phone systems, quite often they aren't very bright (although I guess for a $5 an hour job no bright person will do it).

CDW sells it (where I got mine) Buy.Com sells it (as others have stated)

Lots of places do sell it, however I've not seen it in a retail store (then again I've not LOOKED for it in a retail store).

Perhaps Compusa as they do sell Acer stuff?

Thanks for the input, I ordered my Acer TM8200 sunday night, and got it this morning via UPS 3 day. VERY FAST service, and I love my new Acer.
