    Hi all

My wife has an ACER 3050 which needs to be restored to original factory condition however when i Alt+F10 i get no recovery option at all, i do get some options but not the erecovery options. Am i to believe it is not available on this model? She received no Vista software with the laptop.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    regards

    Apollo

press F2 at start up,, and go to the main tab,,, make sure the D2D recovery is enabled,,

then try again... may even try Fn + ALT + F10...

if you can get into vista and it still opperates,, you can create your own restore disks using the Empowering Technology eRecovery feature...
may take 10 or more CDs if you don't have a DVD burner.. mine needed 3 DVDs

if unsure,, read the users manual.. if you lost it,, download it at
    www.support.acer-euro.com

    good luck,
    bigO

D2D is enabled and my point is that there is NO ERECOVERY feature at all not under ALt+F10 or the empwering tech icon/program.

that's very strange,, i'd be talking to an ACER tech rep and demanding a free set of recovery disks ASAP,,

or you could "invent" a problem,, acer loves to have machines sent back so they can reload them w/ factory images and "claim" to have fixed the problem

    just a thought or 2,
    bigO
