    Hi.

For months I'm looking at the notebook market and guess finally found a notebook that I'm interested in - the Acer 3302.

The only drawback is an external DVD Writer but this feature is used very seldom as I always have USB sticks with me.

Despite different sellers who offer the 3302 I didn't found any review about this unit in the net. Has anyone experience with this notebook?

Wow, that's a great find. I'm also on the market for a similar laptop. I had already chosen the TM 3212 as it's steadily available here in Spain and it's quite cheap.

But I'd be willing to trade those 500gr. for the dvb burner as I rarely use it.

Where is this laptop available? It seems it was presented just 3 weeks ago. Maybe in a couple of months it will be sold in Europe...

    Hm.

As you can see from this Link http://www.geizhals.at/eu/a174127.html it is already available in Germany. That's why I thought it would be the same in other countries.

The 53Wh battery is quite interesting. In comparison to an Samsung X06/X10 you won't need an high-power battery pack that overlaps on the backside.

Well, after writing the post I searched again and found it was already being sold in France (Pixmania.com carries it), Germany and now it looks like also in Austria.

I'll write to Acer Spain to ask about it. Maybe they'll tell me if it's going to be available anytime soon.

On the laptop... I like it to weight 1,9Kg, just like the Vaio VGN-S5M I'm currently using, and the big screen is a plus. Battery life should be greater than the 3212 which has a X700 (and which I'd be willing to trade for less heat and more battery life). That 53Wh battey looks promising although I think 3212 takes a 80Wh (the X700 version).
