My laptop is but a year old.

Last night while using Google Chrome my laptop went black as if it was off; but its not; seemingly it was still running. There appears to be nothing wrong with it besides the fact the screen is completely dark

I went to a internet cafe and searched and found out this is a sort of common problem but I didnt find a solution.

I have tried the power discharge but it did not work entirely. The acer logo appears but it goes black after BIOS but everything seems fine. The panel lights are on.

Right now - I can turn on my laptop it will give me the BIOS and then it goes dark again.

I can press F2 at BIOS screen and go to set up and it works fine for about 10 seconds - I can see everything just fine as if nothing was wrong - then itgoes black screen again.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong?

    Thank you.

Check what happens if you connect it to an external screen.
