    Hi.
I have acer 5670/5672 notebook. my s-video out and vga-out for crt monitor not work.
I tested my s-video cable in my old computer with ati 9000pro and s-video work fine.

bios v1.3234, power on display=both, drivers=omega/catalyst - tested on both drivers, fn+f5 key not working.

    anyone can help?

Right click on your desktop. Click properties, Click settings, Click advanced, Click dispays. Then click on TV.

I would try a new cable. Did the cable come with your old computer?

Cable work fine in S-video out in ati 9000pro. Second problem is why my vga-out not work. I connected monitor and have blank screen (no signal).

What operating system are you using? What version of the video driver?

Win XP+SP2, omega 3.8.360 / ati mobile catalyst 7.7 (two drivers for test - currently I use catalyst)

I'm using a previous version of Omega and it works well with mine 5670. My last suggestion, remove both the Omega and Catalyst drivers. Then use Driver Cleaner to remove anything that may be left over, then reinstall Omega, do not reinstall Catalyst and see if that works.

I test your suggestion at start of my problem and not work. S-video+ Windows+drivers is one problem. Another question is why my VGA out not work? Why I cant see anything on tv or additional monitor when my laptop is started (no acer logo, no windows loading logo - completly nothing). I think is not the software/driver problem but don't now how to test my out's.

Well, I'm out of suggestions. I think it's time to take it in for servicing.
