    Hello,

As title says, on my ACER 5920G laptop, I'm not able to get any sound from Front speakers of my Creative 4.1 speakers. Rears are working.

Green-F(front) plugged in green hole of PC and Black-R(rear) in black. (As you know, there's also pink one for mic.)

What's strange: as I make the connection as mentioned above line, the laptop's mic is on and I can hear my knocks through microphone hole to rear speakers.

I do not have also any other speaker configuration option in Acer HD Audio Manager. There's only passive "Stereo" selected. No quadro...or 5.1 there.

I already re-installed Realtek audio drivers, nothing changed. Realtek sound card in this laptop doesn't support 4.1 speakers or am I doing something wrong? I tried many things on Control Panel/Sound section but no success for the front speakers.

    Please help...

from what I remember, the 5920 will only do multichannel out using SPDIF (3.5mm optical adapter). the three jacks on the front are just mic, line in, and headphone out.

Thanks for the reply, do you have however any proper photo of this product? I google'd it and found several types I think...

Besides, shall I use this optical adapter on only headphone out? (for the two: F & R cables of Creative 4.1)

Any other suggestions/solutions would be highly appreciated. Thx.

Hmm, seems that my ancient Creative 4.1 doesnt have optic out.. Therefore I think SPDIF is not the solution for my case.

Do you think can I get 4.1 sound by using below adaptor?
[Since there'r two plugs from the speaker set: as F(front) & R(rear)]

Anyone has experience with above adaptor? (connecting a 4.1 or 5.1)
