What do you specifically want pictures of? Give me an idea of 2 to 3 shots you want me to take, and I will snap them off once I have some time tonight. (hopefully)

Here are a few I just snapped off.

I don't know why people think it's so ugly; I think it looks slick.

    @ Pocketgamer or other owners:

How does the keyboard feel like? Is it easy to type on?

The keyboard is very nice to type on. I am not that great a typer, but the speeds I can achieve on this notebook are pretty good. There is slight flex to the right centre of the keyboard, but it does not affecting typing at all. The keys are firm and have a short-medium travel, which you either love or hate. Im in the former camp.

The keyboard is on par with any other notebook. I've never been a fan of typing on any notebook, but the only complaint I have had is that sometimes I touch the scroll pad and goof something. I wish there were a way to lock the pad easily and quickly; I'm sure there is a way on the software end if I took the time to look.

the Fn key + F7 should lock the scroll pad. I find that annoying in games. If I forget to lock the pad, when using a regular usb mouse, the screen appears to shake as my palm brushes against it.

THANKYOU . . .. As that was annoying when I didn't have my mouse to re-enable the pad(since I gues fn+f7 is not related to the other way).

That picture of the interior that pocketgamer sent in looks nothing like 'proper' beige/cream. Just looks slightly off white which is cool.

I've started increasing my interest in this notebook again, I was put off by some people stating that it looked like 'off white with yellow puke' however it looks nothing like that - although it seems from that picture and mostly the ones darkspark sent in.

    Nice pics.
The interior looks quite nice imo - better than my other notebook option which is the Inspiron 1520 which ooks far to plain, just the 'embossed' like keyboard stuck in the middle.

Great pics. I never realised the graphics card was so small...

I was looking at the picture of the hard drive, and noticed that the machine in ReaperX' s picture was a Toshiba.
I checked the model of mine, and its a Seagate. Does this make any difference?

Plus my drive is labelled as a hybrid drive with 387mb of NV cache. Does this refer to turbo memory? As I assumed half of 1gb was assigned to the hard drive.

Here's more really impessive pictures of the 5920 - Clicky

Seems like Cnet's comments about port placement seem to be a load of trash. Plus, that dummy button can be exchanged for a feature, possibly.

yesterday I peeled off all the stickers and attacher them to the manual (for historical info) and now it looks waay better! I hate when MY notebook, I paid my money for, is used as an advertising stand for every peace of hardware inside (the big sticker with all the specs is the silliest)
Plus go to hell Microsoft, they always put a sticker of their monopoly enforced Windows, it will never appear on my hardware.
BTW, all stickers come off without a trace, so don't worry about glueprints :)

I'm sorry, but that video... Who plays this game? fiveyearolds? It has The worst physics I have ever seen! Plus the graphics is so basic that nobody cares about performance either.
Talking about driving games - I am playing Test Drive Unlimited, now it's a game which pushes Acer 5920 to the limits, and I even overclocked it to get rid of framerate drops on good settings.

Sure lets start flaming and judging, if you don't have something good to say then don't say it. I can get games that push it to the limit and beyond, but sometimes i like to play quick games without worring what kinda of brakes are in the virtual car.

    Hi everyone.

There've been some great comments about the 5920 up here but you've all missed the official his-res photos I put up on my Flickr site.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/lingolook/sets/72157600176294791/

Before you ask the guy on the front page is Gianfranco Lanci. Big man.

I still think DarkSpark's pictures are great. Come to think of it it looks far better in real life than in these photoshoot sessions but at least you get an idea of how it looks close up.

BTW, the interior is "pearl grey". I know it sounds like something you'd order a Bentley in but it was actually chosen as it's softer on the eyes over time...

Yeah I know who you all are :D

Thanks for the compliment. It's good to know that uphill battles can actually make progress...

Jam you got a reply from my friend Richard@DELL who puts forward a very good case for the Dell Inspiron 1520. Richard's actullay a very cool guy so don't skim over what he says too fast.

Enough free promos for the competition. Now who wants to write a second review?

That dummy button is the TV button in 5920G models with TV Tuner. Then there's also an RF-in and S-Video In besides the DVD drive and USB!

ReaperX, to open the 5920, did you remove any warranty void stickers or something who tells that you ve lost your warranty ?
