I have an acer 5920G that I downgraded from stock vista to XP and I can't find the necessary ati driver anywhere I've tried installing close to 40 different ati drivers and uninstalling them each one by one, I'm lacking sleep from the amount of time i've put into this only to hit a dead end... I tried the stock drivers but no luck, I this the video card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470... but If necessary i can disassemble the laptop to check or even install a new graphics card if there are compatible ones. Any help finding the appropriate diver would be appreciated.

Is it fresh install? You mention that you've tried A LOT of drivers, but which? Have you tried with the latest from AMD's drivers section? Also why XP, W7 has better performance and is still supported.
