Hi i have an Acer 5920g, love the machine!

When i first purchased it (2 ish years ago) i would get around 1.5 hours use out of it after a full charge and on high performance.

Now im gettin 45mins - half of what i used to get?

    Anyone got an advice? cheers.

Your battery is finished. I have an older 5684 and I only get 10 Minutes (Max) now.

We can purchase original Acer batteries here....(all made by Sony)...

Before buying a "generic", "re packed" or any other battery, rather go for original stuff. Guarenteed to work. And it does not cost a lot more.

Thats what I am going to do.

Depends where you live. Acer South Africa offers them. Genuine, original Acer specified.

And I live in South Africa.

    Where are you?

This is an old issue. Should I buy Original or opt for Generic ???

Generic is dicey. Original is "sigh"....the right stuff. Costs a bit more but works. Guarenteed.

That is what makes me mad with Acer. Where I live, we have support beyond belief. Customer service that is excellent. The best out there.

And then I read posts like yours wrizzle.

Acer builds good products. Support that is lacking destroys good products.

Will Acer ever take notice??. I don't know. All I know though is that Acer Africa is well run. That is why they sell lots of Lappies here.

Outsell HP and all competition. Sales people push Acer here. Because they know if the thing breaks, solid support is there.
