I generally always have my laptop plugged into the mains but have been running it on battery when i have been traveling. Now that im back home i have plugged her back into the mains. however the battery says its charging but remains on 49% life. this did happen a few weeks ago where it sat on 13%. i took the battery out when the laptop was off then put it back in and it made no difference but over night it charged whilst the laptop was off.

    Help

I have exactly the same problem. It halted first on some little higher number and then got to 13% for days.

Today I tried running it empty and it is now on 3%. It says it is charging but it doesn't rise at all. I am going to wait few days and if there is no improvement I will contact Acer for replacement. This machine is only ~2 months old.

Have you compared your battery model number? it may come from a deficient series. It should be useful to know about it.

Mine is AS07B41 with Serial number BT00604025829422DEB101. Actually there is another 'serial number' with detacheable sticker: BT00604025839275782300

Yesterday I already contacted support for replacement. And just to push my luck I removed the battery AND power cord from the laptop for the night. This morning it seems to be recharging again. Atleast it is in 32% now!
