When you had Windows XP on your laptop did your Bluetooth actually work? Like when you pressed the button did it say "Bluetooth Enabled"?
-
Hi,
i had the same problem when i upgraded by 5562 to Vista. It seems that i downloaded the wrong version of Launch Manager and ePowerManagement. You need to install these two programs before you can enable Bluetooth or in some cases the Wireless Lan. If you have a different version of Launch Manager, like for a different model, and install it, you might have the "No device" error.
So, make sure you download the correct version. Else, download the Acer Upgrade Patch for vista, for your laptop.
Cheers. -
hmm, i've download and installed the right version of Launch Manager.
The problem is that i can't find any vista version of ePowerManagement for TM8200
and i dunno where can i download Acer Upgrade Patch for vista...
now, i still can't turn on the bluetooth...
any suggestion?
thx -
no one can help me?
T_T -
Is it listed in Device Manager?
-
no,its not listed.
i cant even turn the bluetooth on,it always says no device when i use the switch.
can sum1 help me out....
i really need help... T_T
thx -
I think it was here: http://www.broadcom.com/products/bluetooth_update.php
Latest Bios is the most important thing. When I installed everything, it all worked except Bluetooth, but with the Widcomm drivers that worked too.
The only thing that didn't work for me was Vista itself, but that's for you to judg once it's up and runningWent back to XP and upgraded to OS X after that..

the prob is that i cant turn on the bluetooth..
becoz to update the driver,we need to turn on the bluetooth to be detected by the software
can u turn on the bluetooth?
thx b4 ^^ -
is it really this hopeless??
T_T -
Sooo... before you do anything else go here and download ALL the Vista drivers and install them ALL.
ftp://[email protected]:21/notebook/travelmate_8200/vista
Ok?
I never had a problem turning on Bluetooth but I also installed all those drivers. Most important is the BIOS version. Which version of the BIOS do you have? Is it the one that is required for Vista? -
yea, i already done that from the first day i installed vista.
ive done the BIOS upgrade too...
its just so strange, it gives me "no device" when i tried to switch on the bluetooth.
other suggestion?
thx b4 ^^ -
