    Hey there !
    I need help !
I change my cpu from T6600 (Dual core) to Q9000 (Quad core) and on the beginning got problem to start, so i change few settings in bios( 1.07 Mod bios) and start nice to windows but in windows is showing only two core also in cpuz showing only two cores.
    screen.jpg
    SO!
when bios is loading its showing four cores, but in windows and linux its showing only two cores, so im not sure is still something wrong in bios or with system, also got question if there is any other bios mod?
because i was checking 8730g and 8935g bios files on internet and they got few more settings unlocked, also i was thinking to use bios from 8935g or 8730g but im 99% sure computer wont start

The more interesting thing is that it is working. o_O As I remember, there is no acers, that can operate with quads normally. It seems, that this BIOS is modified only just for supporting quads. Normally, there are only few PM45 chipsets, that can handle quad core CPUs. Which revision o chipset do you have? If it is the first revision, your laptop doesn`t s support quads too. If it is the second, that, it should be working with all four cores activated.

Right as You see on this 107541d1389795330t-acer-8735g-need-help-setting-up-bios-q9000-cpu-_dsc040211.jpg Photo 4 cores are readed by bios but are blocked and im sure with good bios mod i can unlock this.
I see that option in 8935G bios mod aspire8935gbios3207vtmo.jpg (screenshot from 8935G mod bios) option is called "Core Multi-Processing" and im sure if You disable this in my bios this will work with all four cores not only two

    Chipset its PM45 "REV_07"

Some motherboards for Acer were not capable of running quad cores because something was missing hardware wise.
There were two revisions one wasn't capable of running a quad core and one was.

The thing is I'm not sure if it was the case of this particular notebook but I remember it being discussed in this sub-forum a while ago.

I know it's not a solution - just a hint to help you search for one.

downloads is right. As I`ve written before - some ACER laptops doesn`t support quad core because of chipset. There were two versions of PM45 chipsets: 82801IBM and 82801IEM, the second supports Quad Core CPUs. My 5739G has 82801IBM. It seems, that yours has too. Check it with AIDA64. I know, that, for instance, 7738G fully supports QUAD Core and QUAD Core Extreme CPUs. Our notebooks supports X9100 Core 2 Duo Extreme as maximum.

im checking by Everest and he say its Intel 82801IM ICH9M

And for first this what You say 82801IBM or IEM its behind GPU(in 8735G) this have nothing to PM45 chipset and cpu
for secound most of acer bios are locked to use only dual core multi processing, if you have bios like mod bios from 8935g you can disable multi core processing and should work with all four cores

Yes, because you have GM45 chipset, not PM45.

Thus, if you are sure that your laptop is able to work with quad and you are using the modded BIOS, as is seen in screenshot, than try to disable this multi core processing. See if it works or not.

I don't think 8735g support quads. It was never sold with them in first place and most important I don't see on the schematics those few extra connections coming from cpu, which are required for quads to work.
