    Hello!

I've recently been plagued with overheating problems with my notebook and after doing a little research, it seems that a BIOS upgrade is needed to fix the problem.

However, after reading the numerous other threads on failed bios updates and the the like, I'm a bit wary of carrying out the flash.

Could someone help me out with a guide of how to flash the bios as safely as possible, as I've been unable to find a proper step-by-step guide to help me out.

I'm (sadly) running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 and the model of notebook is the Acer Aspire 5720Z.

    Please help me out guys!

    Thanks,

    Becca

    Here are my tips&thoughts:

By the way your laptop may be overheating for more trivial reason like dust. I'd give it a good clean before trying a BIOS update.
