Hello everybody.I have 6920g which comes with an Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500A drive. My OS is Win 7 Ultimate.Problem is that it doesn't seem to work with empty DVD's.Therefore i can't write DVD's only CD's..I've tried to update the drive's firmware from Optiarc's website but because it's OEM version it's not supported.I'd appreciate any ideas or solutions

Maybe it worked back when you had Vista and died since then?
When ODDs die they usually go like this- different wave-length is required for CD, DVD and BD so usually one goes first while other still work.
It's important to know is it hardware or software- maybe you could boot into Linux and see if it works there?
