    And it works! I had a T9300 2.5 GHz in it, the T9900 @ 3.06 GHz isn't running any warmer than the T9300 so I must have done something right. :D

    I wonder why the limited it with an older generation cpu that only had a 800mhz FSB. Anyways from a search these things were available with a Q9000 i wouldnt have worried about heat too much.

    Yeah, the Q9000 is sweet. It's a 45watt CPU, came on a different mainboard, and most likely had a better fan/heat exchanger than what's in my laptop.
