The brightness is too low everytime I start it, with or without the power adapter. How do i set it so it is the brightness I want everytime I start it up?

If you click on the battery symbol in the icon tray, there should be a little slider to set the default power where you change your computer's sleep options. :D

There isnt anything to change brightness of the display there. I have gone through the power options, from standby to hibernate advanced etc and there is nothing that defaults the systems brightness. Must be an XP Home. I think XP Pro does allow this.
Maybe deeper within system 32 or msc there is something. battery only lasts 2 hours anyways, 3 cell, so maybe brightness is defaulted by system to be low to extract as much time on battery as possible

Is there a BIOS update or acer power management utility?
