Returned the first Extensa 4420 due to monitor issue (freeze - dark Blue screen) and replacement is also acting the same. Nothing is working except rebooting and really annoying. Could someone help me what to do? Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the info! By the way, I saw one of the comments that it is the ATI driver/software (Catalyst) causing the issue (screen to freeze). What he did was unintall and install only the driver. Still waiting for my machine to freeze again.

i have no experince w/ AMD or ATI hardware with reguards to ACER laptops.
sorry i can't do more for you... it may be time to get on acer's BUTT,, and ask for a replacement if they can't test the laptop enough to replicate the problem.

    just a thought,

    bigO

What is everyone averaging for battery life? I turned down all performance settings possible, backlight all the way down, and stopped any services not needed. Less than 2 hours still while just running firefox. Impressed otherwise with the system but did I get a dud battery?
