Was pretty excited about getting my new 15.6 Acer today. The power plug is some enormous 3 prong thing that won't go in my wall outlet. The prong at the top is like a thin rectangle longways and the two prongs next to each other are the same only sideways rectangles.

In between the prongs it has a compartment with a fuse.

WHAT IS THIS? What do I need to do?

You didn't buy the laptop from your own country? Then there's a 100% chance that this would happen. Go to a nearby small PC shop and ask for a universal laptop cable that connects to the power brick.

It's used in Australia, you need a converter.

Don't bother with a convertor the're messy, just get a new lead with the laptop clover end you could get one on ebay just as cheap and looks alot less getto.
