Hi guys.
I've been trying to find out if there was any modded bios option that could activate the integrated 4500MHD?
If so, did anyone try this?
This would be great for power consumption and also if you're thinking of implementing a E-GPU, which could be optimal with use of the 4500MHD.
Thanks in advance for any answers!

Sorry that can't be done. There's no circuitry on those notebooks that have dedicated graphics for an integrated one to work.
So while you could enable it in theory there would be no way to output the video to either internal or external screen. -
I suspected that this was the case, thou I read that the circuitry could be different between GM45 and GS45 (mine is GM45).
I'm also trying to figure if I'm able to do a 1xE for a EGPU setup, but the instructions are very confusing. If you know anything about this I would appreciate some info =) -
Sorry- my knowledge of eGPU related matters is very limited.
You'd be better off heading here for more info. -

So the main reason it can't be done would be the video outputs? What about VGA outputs, would they work if you could enable the integrated graphics?

None would work. Not even in a laptop that was designed with switchable graphics in mind and ended up without it (Aspire 5740G).
No LVDS output, no VGA or HDMI output. Maybe it's working down-below but without the circuitry video it's not going anywhere.
In case of said 5740G it's a voltage regulator missing and we're talking about a notebook that was supposed to have switchable graphics- 5738 was never designed with switchable graphics in mind so it doesn't have anything to support integrated graphics.
