    Hello to everyone,

    I have a Acer Aspire 9300 Laptop and ı want to upgrade it's CPU due to nostalgic reasons

    Specs of my laptop are as below;

    * Bios: Phoenix Technologies V.1.19 (It's latest version which my motherboard support - obviously, it supports V.1.20 but it has a disadvantage that it does not support 4 gb ram that's why ı am using V.1.19)
    *Bios Relese Date: Mat 15, 2007

    *CPU: AMD Turion 64 MK-36 (TMDMK36HAX4CM) 31 W
    *CPU Relese Date: September 1, 2006
    *Socket Type: Socket S1 (638)

    *GPU: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100
    *MotherBoard: Myallm

    CPU Upgrade Options ==>
    1-) AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-66 (TMDTL66HAX5DM) 2.3 GHZ - Relese Date: May 7, 2007
    2-) AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 (TMDTL68HAX5DM) 2.4 GHZ - Relese Date: Dec 19, 2007

    My probelem is that I cannot make sure that of which of these CPUs will work.

    According to the relese date of Bios V.1.19 It looks like it can support TL-66, but the TL-68 came out on December 19, 2007 and for this reason, I can't make sure Bios V.1.19 will support TL-68 or not

    I would be very glad If anyone can give me his/her opinion

    Thanks in Advance
