I could really use some insight. Today I noticed that my AS 1410's speakers are no longer outputting any sound. The volume pop-up/OSD shows activity, but yet no sound.

The line out jack and HDMI both work. I've tried several different drivers and a few restores w/o success i.e. does not seem to be a simple settings problem. I rarely use headphones, but I tried repeatedly plugging and unplugging based upon some research. I don't recollect installing anything recently that could've killed the speaker output. Also, the laptop has not been dropped, abused, etc.

Is there a chance this is a motherboard or actual speaker issue? If one of you more savvy folks recommends, then I'll open 'er up. Thanks.
