Hey guys,
After I readed the thread

especially
http://forum.notebookreview.com/6296967-post729.html
I finally decided to get a 9600mgt card which is VG.9PG0Y.005 (G96-630-A1).
It is different to cadder's 9600mgt(VG.9PG0Y.006) but other are the same.
Here comes problem:
after the gpu replacement i turn on my laptop and occur a error message:
ERROR:MXM structure not found or invalid.
Re flash MXM ROM or add MXM structure andassociated callbacks to SBIOS!
POST will be halted for 30 seconds and performance will be limited to balanced performance mode until this is resolved...30(counting down)
But after the countdown the windows 7’s start up is on my screen as when i use my hd3470. and them comes the Blue Screen of Death...
I have to reboot and the ERROR comes again.
i have enter my bios and check the information of the 9600, the VGA BIOS VERSION only has a letter V, no numbers follow.(when i use my hd 3470 the VGA BIOS VERSION is V010.088.000.xxx.xxx.xxx).
My computer BIOS version is 1.11.
this 9600 can be use on 4930.
Is my BIOS problem or?
I read lots of post which have the same error information but they wait for 30s and everything goes normally.
Is my bule screen caused by the uninstalled 3470 driver or I need to forbid the hd3200 and uninstall the ati driver first before the gpu replacement?
DO please help me! thanks a looooot!!!

I would say driver conflict, have you tried re-installing windows or at least trying again to make sure the 3470 works when you put it back in?
-
yes while the 3470 is replug in everything is ok. I haven't reinstall the windows. I was thinking the 9600 can work with my laptop and it only vbios and driver problem...
I am thinking if I uninstall the ati ccc and vga driver before I replace the 9600,it would be help? -
New situation comes:
I have uninstalled the ccc and ati driver and put the 9600 back in. and it finally bring me into my desktop and the win7 installed driver, but 9600 has been recognized as 'Standard VGA graphics adapter'. Then a installed the driver from NVIDIA offical site which named '266.58_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_international_whql.exe'. Unfortunately this software didn't recognized the 9600.
should I to download the 6930's driver and have a try?
the 30s countdown is still there at the beginning of the boot. -

You should try drivers at laptopvideo2go.com
Also there is a solution to the 30 second boot problem, if you go to the mxm-upgrade.com there is a thread where people will modify the bios to either:
A) remove the screen entirely
or
B) remove the beeps and reduce the wait to 1 second.
Its not the laptop that does it, its the GFX card itself which is interesting. -
Try the laptopvideo2go.com drivers like Meaker said. Or try the drivers before the new released. I tried to intall the new drivers but suddenly i got random freezes. The new drivers work better with the new line of nvidia mobile gpu's.
AS5530g upgrade 9600mgt comes error,need help!
