Recently purchased this notebook, real great for its price.

My question is on the cpu, it came with a t6600. I would like to upgrade it in the future if possible (Something with hardware virtualization would be nice). Does anyone know if this is a possibility? Does the board support this, and is the cpu soldered on or not?

    Thanks
    Jon

Hostcat, people have been upgrading CPUs on this forum left, right, and center; myself included!
Most normal and medium voltage CPUs are socketed - you'll only find soldered CPUs in the low and ultralow voltage models.
As for upgradability, your chipset should be able to handle any Socket P Core 2 Duo.
Any Core 2 with a number starting with T8 or T9 has virtualization enabled, as well as some T7s and Ps. Do your research before buying, of course, and try to avoid Engineering Sample (ES) CPUs.
