recently, i was playing a song and suddenly the bass started sounding weirdly/scratchy and loud. if i go to the control panel and lower the volume of internal subwoofer to 0, the sound disappears. try system restore, but it didn't work.

what do you recommend? trying out drivers for example??
fyi, i restored the laptop to factory default settings.

So, you did a system default restoration?
If that couldn't fix the problem, I guess it might be hardware malfunction.
if you're under warranty, just call acer and they will fix it.

Based on the other topic you said, I think it might be the BIOS problems.
    I have run 1.14 without a problem.

The bass issue does happen every so often - it goes kinda wonky on my system, but simply closing and reopening the offending program usually fixes it.
