Hi There, maybe you can help,

I have the Acer AS6920G and i want to read some movies from the laptop to the HDTV with HDMI cable.

When i want to read a DVD movie i got the image on TV but no sound, HDMI supposed to give both sound & video right ? Maybe someone know the procedure ??

Then i want to watch a .AVI movie file With VLC player, the same way (HDMI), Still no sound but now no image either ??

    Anyone can help ??

    tks :)

There something I must know about using HDMI. Do you have a 1366x768 resolution on your laptop and a 1900x 1080 on the TV?

yes, the laptop switches automatically to the tv once the hdmi cable is plugged in and ups the resolution accordingly.
