I'm about to pull the trigger on this: AS8950G-2638G1.5TWnss | Product Model

It's the 18.4" Acer AS8950G-2638G1.5TWnss with two 750GB hard drives.

I have two questions that I'm hoping someone can answer:

    1. Does this have a compatible docking station or is the only way a USB / PCI Express solution?

    2. Can this laptop drive 2 external monitors via HDMI and VGA ports, without closing the laptop lid? (3 screens including laptop screen)

This thread from 2006 seems to say yes, but its the laptops with DVI and VGA ports.. not the HDMI

the only way u would beable to hook up a dock would have to be usb.

as for 2 monitnors it has both a vga and hdmi port and the video card should be more then powerful enough to run 2 screens.
