I have an acer 1522 wlmi two weeks now. Everything looks fine. I am planning to expand ram up to 2GB because I am ussually using notebook for CAD work after work. I made some initial component tests and all numbers are as It should be. I am not happy with battery life. It lasts max. 1 hour but in CAD job max. performance is needed. Also tried UT2004, 1024x786, 16 bit, normal setings, was best I could get.
I dont know which max. display refresh rate is supported, currently is set to 60 Hz......

Hi, before getting the laptop, you should know that it has some sound dropout problem. Check : http://forums.amd.com/index.php?s=261dc20f72fc0feb08911f0b96fe3812&showtopic=17630&st=280

(the thread originally started for 1501Lmi, but 1520 line looks like having the same problem)

Edit: even worse, Acer tech support sucks, period.

There seems to be a possible workaround for this problem as posted by Chimp_spanner (the original poster of the sound problem).
