2nd laptop as first one had DOA touchpad.

Pretty nice laptop but darn if I can get the bluetooth working.

The Atheros driver suite is installed (no separate drivers avail) but no Bluetooth icon in Device Manager or control panel etc.

I went in and manually started bluetooth service and support. BT device searches but no go. Can't find phone or BT mouse or BT keyboard.

    Still searching but any hints?

BT will not even show in device Manager until you've enabled it using dedicated button (requires Launch Manager installed) or Fn+F3 combo.
    Have you tries that already?

Haha, oh well at least it works now.

My first acer laptop had a dodgy keyboard and dead touchpad.

Just so you know, the 7735 and up (inlcuding yours) can upgrade to a 1080p screen.
