It really depends on what you plan on doing with the laptop, if it is anything other than gaming then it is a good laptop. For the price it is good value.

If you answered the FAQ posted in the hardware section,we can be of more help...

Well that's better than the one I bought just two weeks ago from Circuit City - their rebate was only $200 - same specs. Where is yours being sold?

Dang! ... I'll have to go there tomorrow and see if I can get the extra $25. Was your rebate only one for the $225 or two rebates?

Okay nevermind. The extra $25 is a "web only" rebate and is valid only if bought Sept 30 to Oct 1. So if you are serious about getting it you have to jump on it.

I love the glossy wide screen on it. Don't plan on carrying it around too much though as it is heavy.

FWIW, I have a 5002 from CC and I'm very happy with it. I'm a developer by profession and I use it for all sorts of things.

The 5002 is really a nice laptop if you are not playing games...the integrated graphics bring it down. But, it's great for almost everything else. The Turion processor is a nice addition - it provides power a Celeron or Sempron can't deliver. ;)

Plus, it is at a nice price....$950 shipped is the cheapest I have seen it. :)
