It really depends on what you plan on doing with the laptop, if it is anything other than gaming then it is a good laptop. For the price it is good value.
If you answered the FAQ posted in the hardware section,we can be of more help...

No rebates, but likely no returns either. I would make sure it is what you want. Plus you won't have to pay tax.

Dang! ... I'll have to go there tomorrow and see if I can get the extra $25. Was your rebate only one for the $225 or two rebates?
Okay nevermind. The extra $25 is a "web only" rebate and is valid only if bought Sept 30 to Oct 1. So if you are serious about getting it you have to jump on it.
I love the glossy wide screen on it. Don't plan on carrying it around too much though as it is heavy. -
FWIW, I have a 5002 from CC and I'm very happy with it. I'm a developer by profession and I use it for all sorts of things.

The 5002 is really a nice laptop if you are not playing games...the integrated graphics bring it down. But, it's great for almost everything else. The Turion processor is a nice addition - it provides power a Celeron or Sempron can't deliver.
Plus, it is at a nice price....$950 shipped is the cheapest I have seen it.
