Hi, I've installed an Intel 2100 Mini PCI Card (WM3B2100) in my Acer 1350, and an aerial (I put both of the aerials inside the back of the monitor, one on each side near the top, outside the silver shielding), and installed the drivers. The card shows up in my Network Connections window, but it won't find my router. I have a USB WiFi dongle which works fine with the same router, finds it no problem.
Does anybody have any ideas where I might be going wrong? The two aerials are connected correctly to the mini PCI card. If I put the laptop right next to the router without the aerials connected, should it be able to pick up the signal? (I was just wondering whether to try this, as maybe the aerials aren't working properly and I need to re-site them elsewhere in the laptop, though I read that the back of the screen is the best place for them.)
Many thanks for any help you can offer.
