I'm helping a friend setup their new Acer 1410
The first thing I did was do a clean install of Windows 7 (it came preinstalled with Windows 7)
I'm wondering if I need to install ePower Management to achieve the advertised battery life?

ePower Management doesn't work with windows 7, just use the built in power saving options.

The only way to get a true account of your battery life is to measure it yourself, while doing everyday tasks.
A little off topic, but is it possible to use the legal Windows 7 download links in the thread you posted with the Acer OEM keys found in the clean install of Windows 7 thread? -
but other than that, everything worked fine
