I'm getting about 3.5-4h on my 8 cell battery on my 1681. The original 4 cell battery is pretty well useless now I'm lucky to get 1.5h out of a charge but I still rotate them every couple weeks so they both get the dischage and recharge cycle done to them.

I suggest you unistall the acer epowermanagement and use windows power management

Then change the settings in power profile to 'Max Battery"

processor would run at 600mhz and u would get nearly 3.4 hours or more

What's the deal with epowermanagement? I haven't had a problem using it.

    1-sOuljah, sent you an email.
