    Hi,

I'm am hoping that there is someone out there who can help me. I bought my laptop in Nov last year (Acer 1680, 1.7 Pentium M). It is a great latoptop (apart from sound), but recently the 4 way scroll button has stopped working. I have tried re-installing the touchpad button from the Acer website (?), but that didn't work. I contacted Acer support via e-mail but they just e-mailed back asking me to contact them by telephone, tried this but kept getting cut off due to the high number of calls.

Please, if anyone has experienced a similar problem or can recommend a solution, I would be most grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks mo3ty, looked into what you put and re-configured the button, so it now works like a dream. Feel a bit of an idiot that it was such a simple process, but I would never have found it if you hadn't replied. Thanks again.

im using Acer Aspire 1681 WLMi, so i guest the 4 way button will be the same.

First u must install Synaptics Touchpad ( try search with google)
    - latest version = Synaptics Touchpad Version 7.12.7

Second go to control panel then open mouse properties, click on device setting tab. then click on Setting button. click on + beside Button, then u can see scroll up/down/left/right action. set there.

    hope this can help
