Does anybody know what motherboard the 1714 uses, I could probably find it myself but I don't want to start opening things up.

If anybody has a link to a support manual or know the make and model of the motherboard that would be great.

Also, does anybody know any software that works with the Intel 865G chipset which will allow you to attempt any overclocking without messing with the BIOS?

Normally I would tweak the BIOS, but the BIOS is that basic you can't get to any FSB or Muliplier settings.

Notebooks are not designed to overclock, they are designed to underclock. Their design is maxxed out as it is for the size of fan and ability to cool the CPU, pushing it any farther without the ability to cool it down more would smoke it in no time and therre is no way of adding a bigger fan or heatsink and getting it back together again(unless you only run it in a meat cooler[ :D]). In fact many can easily be overheated just by running a CPU intense application at the full designed speed, the bios will then kick in and reduce the clock rate until the temperature is a safe range again.
