I just got interested in looking to purchase an 18.4 Acer laptop in the USA, and it is impossible to find a single 18.4 laptop. Amazon has a 8735g-6502 model that I do not want. What happened to all the 8730, 8920, 8930, and 8940 models? You cannot buy any of these models new. If these were just released over the last several months how can they all become unavailable?

Is Acer coming out with a new 18.4 model for the USA?

I am wondering about this too. I bought an 8940G in November from Newegg with bad motherboard. I received a replacement [Egg would not refund] that I have been liking more and more. But I do not feel good that 8940G model is apparently no longer for sale in America.
