    Hi!

    I'm sorry if this question has been discussed already although I did not find anything via search.

    I recently bought 1810T. It has W7 ultimate 64bit and 3303 bios installed. Unfortunately there is the issue that battery is discharging for about 5-8% per day when laptop is off (shut down).

    I've disabled all "wake on" properties in network adapter driver properties but unfortunately it does not help.

    Really appreciate if you can help.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for the response!

    Well, everything is new and clean. Of course I can remove the battery, but it's not really convenient option.

    I've had the similar problem with one of Lenovo laptops and Vista a long time ago and it was related with a wake on options for the modem, network and sound drivers. It looks like only driver in this laptop with this option is ethernet controller where it is disabled right now..

    My 1810TZ seems to discharge slightly too, but I wouldn't say it was too bad.

    Mine went from 100% to 78% in about a week.

    Hollinshead, does it happen when it's shut down or only during the hibernate stage?

    When it's shut down, I don't leave it on hibernate. I tend to use my PC most of the time, using my 1810 when I go out etc. So it can often sit in it's bad for a week or so.

    Thank you very much, Hollinshead! And last question, can you please take a look at the version of ethernet driver you have installed?

    This seems to be a known problem with the 1810 (check the Timeline 1810 thread) and some people even returned their 1810t(z) for this problem. Perhaps a BIOS upgrade maybe the only solution, but this problem doesn't bother me too much.

    Having looked on Acer's site they list an updated LAN driver which is showing as 1.0.0.19 under windows.

    I'll try this and see if it solves the problem.

    I afraid, it would not help. As I remember with Lenovo it also required me to disable the wake-on settings in BIOS in additional to drivers level. Keeping in mind Acer's habits to hide everything in BIOS already enabled (like VT) I afraid we would be out of luck..

    In any case, please let us know if it helps.

    It looks like driver published on Acer web site is 1.0.0.4 - much older than 1.0.0.17 available via windows update

    1.0.0.17 has this issue.

    Not sure where you are looking for drivers, but on Acer Europe it lists the driver as 1.0.0.20. However when installed windows shows it as 1.0.0.19.

    My fault. Downloaded Vista version. But even correct version shows: 1.0.0.5 with driver date somewhere in April.
    setup.ini has the following:
    Win7_Driver_Version=1.0.0.5
    Vista_Driver_Version=1.0.0.19
    XP_Driver_Version=1.0.0.19

    In addition, windows update start to prompt me to update the driver (to .17) again after the installation.

    I see what you mean, I'm guessing mine has installed the Vista driver for some reason then?

    I'll roll it back and start looking at the BIOS instead.

    I believe we are out of luck. Even if power management settings exist in the bios, they're hidden there. Possibly need to look at bios mods thread..

    I've also submitted the support request to Acer but I would be surprised if they have the solution.
