Does anyone know how to adjust the number of MB allocated towards the integrated video module from the RAM?

It is currently set as 16MB, but I want to increase it to 64MB in order to play AOE III :)

    Chipset is Intel 82852 GM/GME

    Thanks!

    Can anyone help? Thank you!

I want to know how I can "up" the amount of RAM I allocate to my Intel integrated video card from the BIOS.

i'm not sure about your model but usually there is an option to change your memory from BIOS... did you try that?

Hi. Thanks for replying. I have tried that, but unfortunately, there didn't seem to be an option to adjust the amount of RAM to allocate to Intel Extreme Graphics 2.

I have even phoned the Acer technical support, but two of the gentlement said that my computer's video chip is dynamic, which means it automatically allocates VGA memory. Can anyone confirm this?

it may only take 5 of the 16mb but i doubt the card takes more than 16 if its not told to or i could see some instability because of 'double booked' ram, if your notebook only has 16mb and you need 64 to play aoe 3 then im sure it would still lag even if you allocated 64 just because theres a lot more to a video card than the video ram
