Hello all, I've been reading as a guest for a while now but have the itch to attempt an upgrade!

My 2930Z currently has a T3200 processor but I'd like to install a core2duo. Can anyone advise me please on which models would be suitable for my laptop? It has the GL40 chipset.

Also does anyone have a service guide for this model or one like it that I could borrow?!

    Thanks in advance, Rob.

well your chipset does support core-2-duo, but how far you can go ?
    it also supports DDR3.
taken from a list on wiki thats taken nearly a year to do.all support is proven.
